Cassey is a Pilates instructor and creator of POPPilates series. She has a variety of levels, and I just started her Beginner's Workout Calender. It's great: 28 days of introductory butt whoop. She makes it easy, slowly building up the difficulty each day. Below the calendar are links to each day, so you don't have to scramble to find the videos you need.
I just did went through the first day! And boy, were my muscles worked. I actually had to pause the video so I could stretch because my hips had tensed too much. Guess I've got to eat more bananas. (Bananas have a good dose of potassium which alleviates cramps.)
Anywho, I powered through it and I did better and worse than I thought I would. I've done some Pilates moves before, but did not realize how out of shape my hips were. It was the first set of triangles/pyramids that really got me, but once I loosened up, I did much better. :)
Today's video was just under half an hour, which is really nice and manageable, particularly when you're just starting out. Cassey covers the basics of breathing, the basic Pilates form and the 100. Your whole body gets worked out in essentially each section, but you work on abs, legs and arms as the focus.I'm really happy to have found Blogilates.
I can't wait for the next video!!
